Brace yourself: Wonder Woman is returning.

Or, more accurately, she’s returning to 1984, because that’s when the highly-anticipated sequel is expected to be set in, if you take Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot’s posts into account. There has been a flurry of updates recently, the most surprising being that Steve Trevor, portrayed by Chris Pine, will be a part of it (he looks as perplexed as us). The first instalment of the beloved series ended with his then-apparent demise, but, with this bombshell, things have clearly changed.

Currently being called ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, the film will reportedly be set in the US during the 1980s, with Kristen Wiig joining as Cheetah, the villain, and Narcos- and Game of Thrones –star Pedro Pascal joining in an as of now undisclosed role.

The star of the box-office sensation, Gal Gadot, posted an image that gave us a first look at Diana Price as she looked at a display of television sets; just like how we’re looking at our screens in anticipation for the next update.

Gadot also recently announced her involvement in the Dwayne Johnson-starrer Red Notice, therefore making sure that we won’t be missing this stunner any time soon.

Set to release on November 1, 2019, it’s safe to assume that this follow-up to the 2017 hit is going to blow our minds.
