VH1 Supersonic Laxmi Lawns, Pune: February

This year’s festival already took place in February, but no list of Indian EDM festivals is complete without mentioning VH1 Supersonic. There were performances by Major Lazer and Marshmello this year, and one can expect 2019’s festival to be even more electrifying.

Ragasthan, Jaisalmer: February

The ‘Ammara’ stage at this three-day desert camping festival is home to performances that go on till dawn.

With the incredible popularity of EDM festivals in India, more and more international festivals are making their way here.

Electric Daisy Carnival, National Capital Region, November

Usually taking place in the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, the Electric Daisy Carnival, India is a part of the global EDC family, which is known for bringing icons of EDM, trance, and house all in one spot.

Magnetic Fields, Alsisar Mahal, Rajasthan, December

The 2017 edition saw performances by Ben UFO, Special Request, Four Tet, and Daphni. It offers three days of music, art, and food in a 17th century palace in Rajasthan.




Enchanted Valley Carnival, Mumbai, December

The Enchanted Valley Carnival was introduced in India in 2013, and ever since then it has offered a unique experience through its multi-genre performances from EDM to experimental. Usually lasting for three days, it brings together an electrifying blend of international and local artists.

Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Pune, December

An annual multi-city music festival, the ‘Happiest Music Festival’ brings together independent artists from all over the world, each representing different genres in one packed weekend. Along with spectacular sets from EDM artists, the festival has also started including stand-up acts by leading comedians.

Sunburn, Pune, December

Acknowledged to be one of India’s biggest EDM festivals, Sunburn has seen performances by world renowned artists such as Martin Garrix, Hardwell, David Guetta, and more. Though it originated in Goa, the festival now takes place in the hills of Pune at ‘Sunburn Hills’. Besides a hefty dose of music and dance, there is no paucity of food options here.
